LIFE Groups

What is the purpose of LIFE Groups:
LIFE Groups are about being sent together.  At Calvin, we believe the Holy Spirit sends us to do God's ideas in community  (together).  In groups we strive to:
Worship God with our lives,
Connect with and encourage one another,
Grow in our knowledge of God and His heart and Help each other to be more like Christ,
Serve each other, our community, and beyond,
and Share the good news of Jesus.

LIFE Groups are created out of the passions and gifts of their members therefore each LIFE group carries out this mission in the unique way God has called it to.

Who are LIFE Groups for:
LIFE Groups are open to all adults. We welcome you to join a group at any time. Check the list of available groups and contact the leader or Sue Vos for more information.

When and Where do LIFE Groups meet:
Each LIFE Group decides when, where, and how often to meet.

LIFE Groups at Calvin:

Couples' LIFE Group

We meet as couples to interact, get together, learn from each but most importantly to find God's purpose within our marriage.  Meeting as couples brings us together as a group and with our spouse. We keep each other accountable to be what God created us to be.

Seniors LIFE Group

This group meets for fellowship, prayer, and recreational outings.

Ladies Bible Study with Lynnelle Pierce

The mission of our Life Group is to grow together in the Word, to invite ladies to come, and to encourage each other through fellowship and prayer. We are currently doing a study of the book of Matthew. 
Meeting day and time: Thursdays from 1:45 – 3:00

Women's Thursday Morning LIFE Group

We gather together to fellowship and study God's Word using prepared Bible Study.
Meeting day and time:  Thursdays at 9:30AM – 11:00AM
Meeting location: Calvin church (council room)
Leaders: Heather Eizenga 

Hands Helping Holland

Families who do service projects for Holland area non profits. Members take turns planning one  service project for the group with the assistance of the non profit.
Meets one day per month – usually on a weekend

Women's Wednesday Evening LIFE Group

Women that meet to study God's Word and encourage each other.
Meeting day and time:  Wednesdays; 6:30PM – 8:00PM
Meeting location:  Harriet's home

Moms' LIFE Group

This group meets for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

Meets 1st and 3rd Thursdays, 9:30-11:00AM

Men's LIFE Group

Men build faith through the study of God's Word, build friendships through recreational outings, lend helping hands to each other, and serve together through various projects designed to address the needs of the church or community.  The ultimate goal of all activities will be to provide opportunity for members to share advice, guidance, and support with one ather that will help each become stronger men of faith.

Meeting day and time:  First and third Thursdays; 6:30PM – 8:00PM

Sunday Evening Adult Group

This group meets for fellowship, Bible study, and prayer.

DC Talk

Meets to understand the basics of Christianity.
Meeting day and time:  Wednesdays, 6:30pm-7:30pmMeeting location:  Calvin Church

Russia Service Learning Team

A team of Calvin Church members is planning a service learning trip to Russia in August of 2010
